FBYC COMMITTEE BOAT DUTY GUIDELINES

It is the boat designated for the racing event that is responsible for manning the committee boat
It is suggested the designated boat contact listed volunteers to ensure their commitment for their week
It is the Race Captain that decides how many crew is required

The RC of Fleet will endeavour to find volunteers for the races and post them when available
The designated boat for the race may find volunteers not on their boat to man the committee boat
Sailors can transfer back to designated boat after launching or anchoring committee boat if agreed by Race Captain
If you fail to arrange volunteers or man the committee boat for your week, you're screwed
If no committee boat is appropriately crewed, RC of Fleet or substitute will arrange alternate start
Volunteers are entitled to free chili and 3 hours of work time

Boats can switch weeks if they both agree, and schedule changes are made in wrinting / email to RC of Fleet
Points for racing awarded to boats that had to man the committee boat are outlined in the Racing Handbook
Changes to committee boat volunteers will be posted 24 hours prior to the race on the FBYC website
The intent of these guidelines is to get as many boats racing each week, in fairness and good spirit
