CANSail 3/4
Ages 12–18; requires CANSail 1 & 2
Four week advanced sailing training, including racing tactics and skills; using modified Club 420s. Offered in 4-week sessions but you can come for 2 ! Just do it twice! In this course, sailors will be learning important skills and tactics for racing on FBYC’s Optimist Learn to Race or FBYC’s senior Race Team
Mon–Fri, 9:00 am–4:00 pm; $750 + fee for 2 weeks, $1500 + fee for 4 weeks

Optimist (Opti) Race Development Team
For youth who completed CANSail 2
Intro to competitive Opti sailing — training in Optimist sailboats. Charter cost for the boat is extra. Lifejackets required. Travel and competition at one regatta included.
Mon–Fri, 9:00 am–4:00 pm; $1,500 + fee for 4-week session

CANSail 1/2
Ages 9-16
Two-week sailing course covering basics of crewing /skippering a dinghy sailboat (Club 420). After CANSail 1, students may proceed to CANSail 2. Please note that CanSail 1 and 2 levels each take a minimum of 2 weeks or 1 session. These levels provide the skill necessary to graduate to CanSail 3 and 4 or Optimist Learn to Race.

Adventure Camp
Ages 9-15
Spend one week in Adventure Camp. This course is a combination of kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding (SUP), and sailing — ideal for beginners or those unsure about committing to full CANSail. Offers a mix of water-based fun and basic skills. This course teaches participants key aspects of each activity and demonstrates how to have fun on the water in a safe manner.
Mon–Fri, 9:00 am–4:00 pm, $400/week + CANSail registration fee

Laser Race Team (Provincial Senior Race Team)
Ages 12–18
For experienced sailors: on-land fitness training (strength & conditioning), on-water Laser training, travel & competition at regattas across Ontario representing FBYC. Sailors learn critical racing skills and cover subjects such as sail theory, the rules of racing and how to maintain their race boats.
8 consecutive weeks, Mon–Fri; $2,450 + CANSail fee

On joining all above programs, families receive a complimentary social membership to the Frenchman's Bay Yacht Club (FBYC) for the rest of the calendar year — giving access to club facilities, docks, beach, BBQs, and social events. (Subject to limited availability)
